The position for the opening chord is the middlefinger on the A (3rd string 2nd fret) and the ringfinger on the D (2nd string 3rd fret). It is the D chord without the F# named D5. Don´t worry to much how many strings you hit after the bass tones. If its one or two, three…it will give more brilliance to the song.
